Vivienne [Genesis] - Post-Installation Guide

This article is for customers who have purchased theme installation for the Vivienne WordPress theme (GENESIS VERSION).

We just installed your theme on your site – you may be wondering,  now what? Below we'll go over the common questions we receive after installation and where you need to go to update things in your new theme!

Homepage - About Section

To update the "Hello I'm Vivienne" section on your homepage, go to Appearance > Widgets > Front Page 3. The title and text can be edited in the Custom HTML widget. The image can be changed in the Image widget.

Homepage - "Browse by Category" Images

Go to Appearance > Widgets > Front Page 4. Open the Genesis Featured Page widgets and you can select new images from the widget settings. Need further help? Click here for a detailed tutorial on how to switch out Genesis Featured Page widget images.

The "Browse by Category" title can also be changed in Front Page 4 in the first widget.

Homepage - "Essentials" Section

To add your own affiliate shopping widget to this section, you'll want to create a widget through your preferred affiliate program – ShopStyle (shown in the demo) and RewardStyle/LiketoKnow.It are the most common options.

Once you've created a widget inside your affiliate program account, copy the code for the widget. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Appearance > Widgets > Front Page 5. Open the Custom HTML widget, delete everything in there, and paste your own widget code. Save.

Additional offscreen menu instructions can be found here.

Instagram Feed

Instagram landing page

The link to your Instagram landing page is your website URL + /instagram. Example: https://yourwebsite.com/instagram

The Instagram landing page is very easy to update and change as needed. To add/change/remove menu items, go to Appearance > Menu > Instagram Menu. To edit anything else on the page (i.e. the social icons, or if you want to add text, etc), go to Appearance > Widgets > Instagram Landing Page.

Complete instructions for the Instagram landing page can be found here.

Where I Shop Menu / Sidebar

Installation does not include setup/customization of the Where I Shop menu, since we do not have access to your affiliate network links. Here are instructions for setting up the menu.

Advertisement ("partners") setup/customization is also not included. See this article for advice on placing ads on your site.

Coming Soon Page

On your installation form, you were given the option to have a coming soon page installed on your site.
