Charlotte includes a few custom coded elements. If you'd like to remove or modify any of these elements, we'll show you how in this article!

Remove Borders Above/Below Page Titles

Example.

  1. To remove the borders that appear above and below page titles, click here and copy the code.
  2. Go to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS.
  3. Paste the code in the box, then click Publish to save.

Remove Small Accent Line Below Full-Width Post Titles

Example.

  1. To remove the accent line below full-width post titles, click here and copy the code.
  2. Go to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS.
  3. Paste the code in the box, then click Publish to save.

Disable pop-up post navigation

Example (scroll down halfway).

  1. To disable the adjacent post navigation that pops up in the Charlotte theme, click here and copy the code.
  2. Go to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS.
  3. Paste the code in the box, and then click Publish to save.
On mobile, the pop-up post navigation becomes static below each blog post. If you'd like the post navigation removed from desktop AND mobile, copy this code instead for step 1.

Change the color of the "bow" icon

Example.

Charlotte includes a custom "bow" SVG icon used in a few places around the theme. By default, the bow will inherit the highlight color set inside your Customizer. If you'd like to manually change the color to something different, here's how.

  1. Click here and copy the code.
  2. Go to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS.
  3. Paste the code in the box, then replace the color hex code (#000000) with your preferred color code.
  4. Click Publish to save.
