How to enable the block editor settings panel

If you're editing a page or post and don't see the settings panel on the right side of your screen, it may have been accidentally hidden. This panel is enabled by default in WordPress, but it's easy to toggle off without realizing it!

Enable the settings panel in the block editor

1. Open any page or post in the WordPress block editor
2. Look to the top right corner of your screen
3. Click on the small settings icon near the Save button (it looks like a square with two columns or a sidebar)

Once clicked, the settings panel will reappear on the right side of your block editor.

If you still don't see it

• Click on a block within your page to make sure block settings are active
• Check that you're in the visual/block editor (not the code editor)

That's it! Once re-enabled, the panel will stay visible as you continue editing.
