How to place advertisements on your site
There are several ways that you can add advertisements to your site when using a 17th Avenue theme. Below we'll go over some common methods that website owners use to display ads in WordPress.
Google Adsense
Google AdSense is an advertising network run by Google that allows bloggers and website owners to earn money by displaying text, image, or video advertisements on their sites. Google AdSense is an easy way to manage ads because you don’t have to communicate with advertisers or manually collect payments.

There are several great WordPress plugins that handle advertisements. Here are a couple options:
Ad Network
There are many ad networks available that you can join. With these, you are typically given a script code that you add to your site and ads are inserted in various areas on your site automatically. Some popular ad networks are:
Manual ads in a widget area
The Image widget is an easy way to add a linked ad image to your sidebar or footer!
- Go to Appearance > Widgets.
- Drag an Image widget into the widget area of your choice.
- Click Add Image. Select your ad image and click Add to Widget.
- Once you've selected an image, a "Link To" box will appear allowing you to link the image to your advertiser's website.
- Click Save to publish the widget.
