Genesis - Add image gallery support for the Classic Editor
All of our WordPress themes are optimized for the Gutenberg Block Editor (introduced in WordPress 5.0 in 2018). In 2020, we removed Classic Editor Gallery support from our themes. If you'd like to add Classic Editor Gallery support to your theme, below are instructions.
How to add image gallery support for the Classic Editor
The WordPress Classic Editor has built-in gallery feature for images. Here are instructions for using galleries with the Classic Editor.
To add Classic Editor gallery support to your theme, click here and copy the code. Go to WordPress > Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS. Paste the code in the box and then click Publish to save.
But consider using the Gutenberg Editor!
We love the Gutenberg Editor and strongly recommend it over the Classic Editor. (Plus, you won't have access to several page layouts in your theme without using the Gutenberg Editor).
Now that the Gutenberg Editor been out for a few years, the initial kinks have been worked out. We find Gutenberg much easier to use compared to the Classic Editor. Here are instructions for using the Gutenberg Gallery Block!
