Missing images in blog posts

If you're seeing blank spots in your blog posts where images should be, it's likely coming from your Jetpack plugin. Jetpack recently introduced two new image features (shown in the screenshot below). These features having been causing a lot of image-related problems on websites, most often presenting as missing/blank images inside blog posts.

How to turn it off

  1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Jetpack > Settings.
  2. Scroll down to the "Performance & Speed" section.
  3. Turn off both options by clicking the blue toggle buttons (they will turn grey to indicate they have been disabled).
  4. Your images should immediately appear in your blog posts again.
If lazy loading is a feature you would like to continue using on your website, we recommend this plugin as an alternative to Jetpack.
