Kadence - Change post/page title layout and appearance

Change post title layout

In your WordPress dashboard, go to Appearance > Customize > Posts/Pages Layout > Single Post Layout.

There are two primary Post Title Layout settings available:

  • In Content – Displays the post title inside the content column (example)
  • Above Content – Displays the post title above the content, typically in a full-width box (example)

You have many other settings available to you as well, such as post title alignment (left, center, right), which elements you'd like to display with your title, and so on.

To change the design of the title – colors, fonts, etc – click on the Design tab toward the top.

The rest of the sections in this article have the same settings available that are shown above, so refer above as you navigate the sections below.

Using an image as the title background (posts and pages only)

With Kadence, you have the option to use your featured image as the background for your post/page titles. To set this up, first make sure that you are using the "Above Content" layout option shown at the beginning of this article.

Next, go to Appearance > Customize > Posts/Pages Layout > Single Post Layout > Design. Scroll about half way down and check the box labeled "Use Featured Image for Background?"

This same setting is also available for pages at Appearance > Customize > Posts/Pages Layout > Page Layout > Design.

If this option is enabled on posts and/or pages, make sure to set a featured image for every post and/or page.
