Kadence - Quick Setup Guide
In an effort to make sure we cover everything, our Theme Documentation articles are intentionally detailed and thorough. If you're already familiar with WordPress and Kadence and know your way around the dashboard, you may prefer to skip over some of the finer details. If that sounds like you, follow our Quick Setup guide below!
Quick Theme Setup
1. Go to Appearance > Themes. Search for the Kadence theme and install it (no need to activate).
2. Upload the child theme file that you purchased (e.g. savannah-theme.zip) and activate the theme.
3. Install the Kadence Starter Templates plugin.
Note: If you'd like the demo content imported for WooCommerce, WP Recipe Maker, or the Portfolio — install those plugins before importing the demo in step 4! Otherwise, feel free to install them later if needed.
4. Go to Site Assist > Starter Templates > 17th Avenue and follow the prompts to import the theme demo. All of the default import settings can be left as-is. The demo content should be imported on all sites, including sites with existing content.
5. Now it's time to customize your theme! Set up your navigation menus, add your own content to the homepage, upload a logo, etc. All of the Theme Documentation is here for you in case you get stuck anywhere.
