Sophia - About Page

On the About page in the Sophia theme, there's a fun "This or That" section. In this article, we'll show you how to edit and customize this block!

Customize the This or That block

  1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Pages > About > Edit and find the This or That block.
  2. To start customizing, click on one of the existing text items and replace it with your preferred text.
  3. To circle the text, first select the text, then click the drop-down arrow in the toolbar. This will open the "More" menu.
  4. In the More menu, click Strikethrough. You should then see your text circled automatically.
  5. To "uncircle" an item, follow the same steps — this time, just deselect Strikethrough.

Change the colors

  • Item/text color: To change the text color, click on an individual item. In the block settings on the right, choose your preferred color.
  • Circle/border color: The circle/border color is hard-coded, but it's easy to change with a code snippet! Click here, copy the code, and paste it at Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS. You can replace the border color and width with whatever values you prefer.
  • Dividing line color: Select the left Section block of the This or That box (i.e. the column that starts with "Matcha"). You can use List View to make sure you're selecting the correct Section block. Once selected, go the Section block settings > Style > Border Styles. Change the border color to your preferred color.

Swap image + text box position

Prefer your image on the right instead of the left? There's a variation of the This or That block available in the Sophia Block Collection. Search "This or That" and it will come right up!
