Kadence - Starter templates prompt did not appear

If you don't see the Kadence Starter Templates setup prompt after activating your 17th Avenue theme, don't worry! This is common, especially on existing websites.

The automatic setup wizard only appears on new WordPress sites or the first time Kadence is installed. If you've previously used a Kadence theme, you may not see the prompt again. The Starter Templates are still available — you'll just access them a little differently!

Step 1: Install the Kadence Starter Templates plugin

1. From your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New.
2. Search for Kadence Starter Templates, then install and activate the plugin.

Step 2: Import your 17th Avenue theme

1. After activating the plugin, go to Site Assist > Starter Templates (Site Assist is typically near the top of the left-hand menu in your WordPress dashboard).
2. On the Starter Templates page, select 17th Avenue.
3. Choose your purchased theme and follow the prompts to import your theme demo.

Still don't see the 17th Avenue collection?

If the Starter Templates plugin is installed but the 17th Avenue collection isn't showing:

• Make sure your 17th Avenue theme is installed and activated at Appearance > Themes.
• Refresh the Starter Templates page.
• Update WordPress, Kadence, your child theme, and the Starter Templates plugin to the latest versions.
• Clear any website or browser cache and try again.
