Marigold - Navigation Menus

Navigation menu locations
The Marigold theme has 4 navigation menu locations:
- Primary = Menu bar at the top center of your website
- Secondary = Not shown in the demo, but could be incorporated into your header using the Header Builder
- Mobile = Menu that displays on mobile devices only
- Footer = Not shown in the demo, but could be added to the bottom footer bar using the Footer Builder
Primary Navigation
- In your WordPress dashboard, go to Appearance > Menus.
- Click Create a New Menu. Give your menu a name (such as "Top Navigation") and click Create Menu.
- Add the pages/categories you want to have in your primary navigation menu.
- At the bottom of the page, under Menu Settings, select Primary. Save Menu.
Announcement Bar
Marigold displays a text announcement at the top left corner of your site.
- To update the announcement bar text, go to Appearance > Customize > Header > HTML.
- Replace the text with your preferred text and optionally add a link. There's a basic visual editor available where you can bold, italicize, and link your text.
Prefer to replace the announcement bar with a secondary navigation menu? Use the Header Builder to remove the HTML element and add the Secondary Navigation element.
Secondary Navigation

- In your WordPress dashboard, go to Appearance > Menus.
- Click Create a New Menu. Give your menu a name (such as "Secondary Navigation") and click Create Menu.
- Add the pages/categories you want to have in your secondary navigation menu.
- At the bottom of the page, under Menu Settings, select Secondary. Save Menu.
Mobile Navigation
- In your WordPress dashboard, go to Appearance > Menus.
- Click Create a New Menu. Give your menu a name (such as "Mobile Navigation") and click Create Menu.
- Add the pages/categories you want to have in your mobile navigation menu.
- At the bottom of the page, under Menu Settings, select Mobile. Save Menu.

Footer Navigation

- In your WordPress dashboard, go to Appearance > Menus.
- Click Create a New Menu. Give your menu a name (such as "Footer Navigation") and click Create Menu.
- Add the pages/categories you want to have in your footer navigation menu.
- At the bottom of the page, under Menu Settings, select Footer. Save Menu.
