Clover - Homepage
After importing the demo content for your theme, it's time to choose which homepage version you'd like to use as your homepage! Clover features three homepage options:
How to select a homepage option
- In your WordPress dashboard, go to Settings > Reading.
- Under Your Homepage Displays, select "A Static Page."
- For the Homepage, select your preferred homepage option.
- For the Posts page, select the Blog page.
Home Option 2 - Header Background Color
You might notice that on Home Option 2, the header background is white. If you choose this homepage option and you'd like to set the header to white like the demo, here's how to do it!
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Header. The Kadence Header Builder will appear at the bottom of your screen.
- Hover over the middle row and click on "Main Row."
- Go to the Design tab, then change the background to white under Main Row Background.
If you'd like to change the sticky navigation background to white as well:
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Header > Sticky Header.
- Go to the Design tab, then change the background to white under Sticky Header Background.
Typed Text
Home Option 2 contains a Typed Text heading. You can learn more and find instructions for customizing it here: Kadence Typed Text. This heading can be added to any page via the Clover Block Collection.
This Typed Text heading also has a separate mobile-specific heading right below it, which looks the same, but omits the Typed Text feature. You generally don't want to use Typed Text on mobile, since it can cause the page to bounce up and down as the text is typing. The two heading blocks are preconfigured to display Typed Text on desktop and tablet, and static/non-typing text on mobile. You can edit the blocks separately by clicking on them.
