Kadence - Introduction (Start Here)
Welcome to the Kadence Documentation Center for your 17th Avenue theme! We are SO excited that you're here. Are you ready to get your new theme set up on your website!? We can't wait to see what you create! Let's get started.
In this article, we'll introduce you to Kadence, guide you toward lots of helpful resources, and teach you how to navigate our documentation.
What is Kadence?
Kadence is a powerful theme framework and block system that allows for endless customization possibilities. You can customize every aspect of your site with no code: layout, fonts, colors, and so much more. And Kadence is completely free for you to use, so no additional purchase is required! A Pro version is available that offers some neat features, but these features are not used/shown in our theme demos.
How to Navigate the Documentation
Our Kadence Documentation Center contains three main categories:
1. Getting Started – We recommend starting here first. In this section, you'll be introduced to Kadence. You will learn how to install the theme you purchased on your website, as well as how to use the block collection included in your theme.
2. Theme Setup – This section goes over how to set up various theme areas, such as social icons, navigation menus, footer, and more.
3. Customizing Kadence – In this section, we'll teach you how to customize your theme. This includes customizing your homepage, adding your own images, modifying the header layout, and more.
There is also a section for each specific theme (i.e. Savannah Theme) which contains tutorials that are specific to each individual theme.
Kadence Help Center
In addition to all of the Kadence documentation here in our Support Center, you also have access to a fantastic library of tutorials in the Kadence Help Center. We recommend checking out the Kadence Theme and Kadence Blocks sections.
