Amelia [Genesis] - Post-Installation Guide
This article is for customers who have purchased theme installation for the Amelia theme (Genesis).
We just installed your theme on your site – you may be wondering, now what? Below we'll go over the common questions we get post-installation, where you need to go to update things, and more. :)
Homepage - Slider
The image slider in the Amelia theme pulls images from your blog posts. To change the slider images, simply set new featured images for each of your recent posts.
Slider Tips:
- Upload images that are at least 1650px wide by 600px tall for the slider. Larger is fine too! If your images smaller than this, your slider won't span the width of the screen.
- By default, the slider will display your most recent posts. If you would like to individually choose which posts display in the slider, click here for instructions.
- If you want to use a traditional image slider instead of a post slider, click here.
Homepage - 3 Featured Buttons
To change the images (or title) for the 3 buttons below the slider, go to Appearance > Widgets > Front Page 2. Open the Genesis Featured Page widgets. You can select a new image, change the title, etc from the settings.
Click here for detailed instructions on swapping out the photos in the Genesis Featured Page widget.

Navigation Menus
There are two navigation menus in the Amelia theme – the Primary Navigation (the top bar above the header) and the Secondary Navigation (the menu below the header).

Instagram Landing Page
The link to your Instagram landing page is your website URL + /instagram. Example: https://yourwebsite.com/instagram
The Instagram landing page is very easy to update and change as needed. To add/change/remove menu items, go to Appearance > Menu > Instagram Menu. To edit anything else on the page (i.e. the social icons), go to Appearance > Widgets > Instagram Landing Page.
